Built on two different skill sets, one shared standard.

The Aston Collective is Toni and Tom Aston. We're married, we run this practice together, and we work independently just as often — because our specialties rarely overlap, and clients usually need one of us more than the other. What we share is a bench of trusted specialists and a belief that the right expertise, delivered directly, beats a generic playbook every time.

Toni Aston

Toni's career started in project management over a decade ago, and it shows in how she works: systems first, people always. She's brought in as a fractional COO or Chief of Staff for founders and leadership teams who need someone to build (or fix) the operational backbone — workflows, tech stack, team structure — without adding permanent headcount.

She works across almost any industry (recent clients include learning and development businesses, branding and marketing agencies, professional coaches, and automation agencies) because, in Toni's words, "peel away the specifics, and systems mostly work the same." She occasionally works directly with solopreneurs building their first real operating structure.

Tom Aston

Tom focuses on the strategy behind the growth — commercialization, go-to-market planning, and revenue growth — primarily for companies in medtech and public and first-responder services (fire departments and EMS). Because his work is tied so closely to industry-specific knowledge, sector expertise matters more for Tom than it does for Toni, and it's where he spends most of his time.

Tom also serves part-time as a firefighter, which keeps his public-safety work grounded in the realities of the field, not just the org chart.
